Meanwhile, in response to the issues of global energy shortage and climate change, Gamania has incorporated the mindset of sustainability into its business management to carry on the promotion of environmental friendliness. However, the IT data centers still use a great amount of power to operate, which is why an energy monitoring and management system has been implemented in Gamania&#8217;s headquarters building. The design, operation, and analytical aspects of this system have been closely integrated to improve energy efficiency. Through complete and digitalized monitoring, the system performs a detailed diagnosis of the building&#8217;s energy consumption, analyzes the data gathered and compares it to the database to identify problems. These findings allow energy conservation measures to be devised and root causes to be traced for adjustments and improvements. This energy management and monitoring system monitors and senses the indoor air quality, temperature and humidity at the same time, helping maintain good air quality or remind employees to take timely responses.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>To achieve digital transformation based on an ideal monitoring environment where management blind spots are avoided, Digicentre, as an agent for the 3D digital twin visualization platform of WeMB, has integrated corporate ITO with different systems, including access control, CCTV, cloud system, information security system, and environmental control system, directly staying on top of the monitoring status with digital twin technology to detect events in real-time. Currently, this technology is used in both the headquarters building in Neihu and the data center in Zhonghe to control the Group&#8217;s application of energy and resources by means of smart buildings and smart data centers, and to effectively manage energy hot spots, such as adjusting air conditioning use and troubleshooting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef7c542 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ef7c542\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u3010 Energy use and emissions \u3011<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-76b7453 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"76b7453\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Gamania continues to strengthen energy management and closely monitor energy use. For electricity use, Gamania aims to improve energy efficiency and prioritizes environmental protection and energy conservation. Through building replanning and renovations, as well as continued communications with employees, the Company is committed to raising employees&#8217; awareness of energy conservation. Beginning in 2023, Gamania comprehensively replaced aging fluorescent tubes with high-efficiency LED lighting. In 2024, the Company established a comprehensive environmental control system to strengthen environmental and energy management at its headquarters building. Gamania&#8217;s own data centers improve overall energy efficiency by adopting cloud-based architectures, replacing aging and energy-intensive server equipment, and integrating smart real-time data center monitoring systems. The server racks also feature hot- and cold-aisle designs, effectively preventing the mixing of hot and cold airflows and improving air-conditioning efficiency and energy-saving performance. In 2025, green electricity accounted for more than 15% of the electricity used across IDC facilities operated in cooperation with ISP partners. Electricity consumption at Gamania&#8217;s own data centers also decreased by approximately 400,000 kWh from the previous year, while carbon emissions fell by approximately 25.8%. In addition, Gamania CloudForce&#8217;s Zhonghe Data Center and Chunghwa Telecom&#8217;s Guofen Fuguo Data Center operate under a coordinated model to support the planning and operation of the overall data center network and jointly optimize energy and water resource management. Although overall water consumption is relatively limited, we continue to uphold the principles of sustainability by regularly assessing water use across our facilities to identify major sources of water consumption and formulate corresponding water-saving measures. The employee cafeteria accounts for the largest share of water use. To address this, we actively assess and introduce water-saving equipment and standardize operating processes such as dishwashing, gradually bringing Gamania&#8217;s water use under more effective control. In addition, Gamania does not use water for manufacturing processes or industrial purposes. The wastewater generated is mainly from daily use. The employee cafeteria is also equipped with wastewater treatment facilities, which properly treat wastewater to improve its quality before discharge. The cafeteria also regularly cleans its kitchen grease traps to prevent oil and grease from entering the public drainage system, thereby continuously improving overall wastewater quality.<\/p><p>Other water-saving measures include the installation of two atmospheric water generators, which collect moisture from the air and filter it into potable water, reducing water consumption. The waste of Gamania is mostly household waste, kitchen waste, as well as a small portion of waste batteries and 3C products. In 2025, Gamania generated approximately 32.58 metric tons of recyclable waste and 51.78 metric tons of general household waste, for a total of approximately 84.36 metric tons of waste. Various types of waste are entrusted to legally registered companies for waste cleaning operations. In addition, Gamania has set up an intelligent recycling machine &#8220;Bottle Man&#8221; and a battery machine &#8220;Ms Battery&#8221; as a &#8220;couple,&#8221; and gives the collected PET bottles and batteries to recyclers who in turn distribute them to circular manufacturers for resource recycling and reuse, in order to create new value of waste. At the same time, employees may also earn environmental protection points by recycling waste; the accumulated points can be exchanged for relevant eco-friendly goods of the Company&#8217;s cooperation projects, e.g. in response to Arbor Day, employees may exchange a bag of toilet paper certified by environmental protection labels with the points.
