In 2023, Gamania’s Board of Directors passed the Group’s “Net-Zero Declaration,”setting carbon reduction targets: achieving Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon neutrality by 2030, and achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.We will make our best efforts to support national policies, take part in low-carbon transformation, and keep in line with the goal of the Paris Agreement.Beyond internal energy-saving and carbon reduction initiatives,Gamania continuously monitors the latest climate trends by participating in relevant climate-related industry associations.
The assessment of Gamania’s engagement in associations is approved by the senior executive of each business unit and further reported to the president. Facing global sustainability issues, Gamania actively engages in climate advocacy and carbon reduction actions. For relevant associations, the principle of alignment with the Paris Agreement is also maintained. The “ESG Communication Office” is responsible for regularly evaluating whether these associations align with the Company’s sustainable development goals and policies to ensure consistent positioning, and it reports its findings to the committee. In cases where misalignments are identified, we engage with the associations and work towards ensuring consistency between their climate policies and our own.
We have established a management system for climate-related lobbying activities and industry association participation, covering all operational sites of Gamania. Through clear evaluation and management mechanisms, we ensure that participation in climate-related public affairs aligns with the company’s sustainability and climate change policies and is consistent with the Paris Agreement. We conduct periodic reviews of the trade associations we are involved with, identifying those with a focus on climate change. In 2024, Gamania did not engage in any direct lobbying activities related to climate. Gamania is involved with two key climate-related industry associations: the “CWS” and “The Bankers’ Association of the Republic of China” (through Gamania Pay’s participation).
